At Performance Signs, growth has never been just about doing more work. It has been about building a team, creating opportunities, serving our customers well, and creating a company that can continue to thrive for years to come.
As Performance Signs has grown, so has the need for strong communication, clear expectations, accountability, and a shared vision. That is where the Entrepreneurial Operating System®, better known as EOS, has become an important part of how we lead our company.
EOS has given our leadership team a common language and a consistent way to work together. More importantly, it has helped us move from simply working in the business to intentionally working on the business.
And along the way, EOS helped us answer one of the most important questions any organization can ask:
Why do we do what we do?
Eight Leaders. One Vision.
The Performance Signs leadership team is made up of eight people who bring different strengths, responsibilities, experiences, and perspectives to the table:
- Katherine Morris
- Robbie Morris
- Wyatt Blevins
- Brendan Williams
- Jon Herring
- Missy Good
- Darren Good
- Brianna Ledger
Each person has an important role in the success of Performance Signs, and EOS helps us make sure those individual roles remain connected to the larger vision of the company.
Leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having the right people in the room who are willing to ask questions, speak honestly, solve problems, and take responsibility.
That is what we strive to do together.
Discovering Our Mission: Helping People Connect
One of the most meaningful outcomes of our work with EOS has been defining our mission:
Helping People Connect.
At first glance, that may sound simple. But for us, it has become a powerful way to look at everything we do.
We create signs that help a business communicate with its customers.
We design and install vehicle wraps that help a company take its message wherever it goes.
We produce banners, graphics, logos, and other visual communications that help organizations tell people who they are and what they do.
Every project is an opportunity to help someone connect with someone else.
That’s what makes our work about more than vinyl, ink, substrates, installation, and production.
Each sign, wrap, banner, or logo design counts toward fulfilling our mission of Helping People Connect.
Whether we’re wrapping one vehicle for a small business or completing graphics for a large fleet, the work matters because of the connection it creates.
- A sign may connect a customer with a business.
- A vehicle wrap may connect a company with thousands of potential customers every day.
- A school graphic may connect students and families with their community.
- A church sign may help communicate an invitation or message.
- A logo may be the first connection someone has with a new business.
When we look at our work through that lens, what we do takes on a whole new meaning.
A Leadership Team Working Toward the Same Vision
When a company is small, communication can happen naturally. As a company grows, that becomes much more difficult.
There are more customers, more projects, more employees, more departments, and more decisions being made every day.
Without a clear system, it’s easy for information to get lost or for different parts of the company to begin moving in different directions.
EOS helps prevent that.
Our leadership team meets regularly to discuss the business, review priorities, identify challenges, and make decisions. We aren’t meeting just to talk about what happened. We are meeting to determine what needs to happen next.
When an issue comes up, we work to identify the root of the problem rather than simply treating the symptom. We discuss it openly, determine the best solution, and assign ownership so that the issue can move toward resolution.
That process has helped us become better communicators and better leaders.
Different Roles, Shared Responsibility
One of the strengths of our leadership team is that everyone sees the business from a different perspective.
- Some are focused heavily on operations.
- Some are closely connected to production and installation.
- Some work with customers.
- Some manage projects and people.
- Some are looking at the future of the company.
Those perspectives are valuable.
EOS gives us a structure where those different viewpoints can come together and ultimately support the same goal.
Our Visionary, Robbie Morris, continues to focus on the bigger picture—looking ahead, developing relationships, solving complex challenges, and helping shape the future direction of Performance Signs.
Katherine Morris plays a critical role in the daily operation and leadership of the company, helping connect the vision with the realities of running the business.
Wyatt Blevins, Brendan Williams, Jon Herring, Missy Good, Darren Good, and Brianna Ledger each bring their own areas of expertise and leadership to the team.
Together, we are responsible for more than our individual departments or responsibilities.
We are responsible for Performance Signs as a whole.
And ultimately, we are all working toward the same mission: Helping People Connect.
