  • Do you produce illuminated signs?

    No. We specialize in the design and production of non-illuminated signs for indoor and outdoor use. Expertise also includes traffic signs, highway signs, banners and wayfinding products.

  • Can I return my sign or banner?

    If there is an issue with your custom banner or sign, please contact us immediately. Fortunately, returns are generally a non-issue, thanks to our time-tested quality control process:

    • Once your sign or banner design is complete, we provide a detailed proof for your review. You’ll have ample time to examine the proof and double-check your sign’s messaging, business address, URL and other design details.
    • If necessary, we make requested adjustments to the sign proof—and we won’t begin work on your sign until you’ve approved the updated version. Your approval is our cue to prep the final art files.
    • When production begins, our team performs stringent quality assurance checks at every project phase. The result is a sign you’ll be proud to install—and a product that meets our rigorous quality standards!

  • If my sign is double-sided and the arrow needs to point the same way on both sides, how do you accomplish that?

    Our brains tend to trick us when we see that the arrows on side 1 and side 2 appear to point in opposite directions. But when we print your double-sided sign and the sides are placed back to back, the arrows will point the same direction. Sign-printing magic!

    For decades, sign companies fabricated most interior and exterior signs with wood. Wood’s timeless, traditional look is matched only by its knotty character, and it is still a favorite material choice for sign shop customers. Unfortunately, wood signs can be problematic since they invite insects and are prone to moisture damage and freeze/thaw cycles.

    Because of these limitations, Performance Signs recommends sign substrates like polyvinyl chloride (PVC), known for its durability and strength. We may also recommend aluminum, acrylic or high-end metals with baked enamel.

    If you prefer a wood sign look without the maintenance challenges, ask about full-color, digitally printed wood grain options or vinyl wraps with the look of textured wood.

  • How do I hang my custom banner?

    Performance Signs’ banners are a cost-efficient way to display new business hours, share contact information or advertise an upcoming sale. After your custom banner order is complete, use these simple installation instructions to secure your new sign for optimal viewing!

    SUPPLIES: 2 sturdy banner posts, 4 rubber bungees, 1 banner

    1. Begin by planting banner posts at least one foot wider than your banner’s overall width.
    2. Bungee the upper corners of your custom banner to the two highest post grommets.
    3. Attach your sign’s two bottom corners to the lower two post grommets.
    4. Double-check that all four banner corners are secure. Ensure the banner is stretched taut and level for best viewing.
    5. SHARE photos of your new banner on Facebook and social media—and don’t forget to tag Performance Signs! We love to see our clients’ custom-printed signage in action!

  • How long does it take to make a custom sign?

    Sign production times vary by project, but a good rule of thumb is four to five business days. Some signs, like easel-backed poster boards or banners, take less time than others (e.g., vehicle wraps and free-standing signs). If you’re on a tight deadline, let us know! We’ll do our best to accommodate quick turnarounds—and we’ll notify you promptly if production timelines change or unforeseen challenges arise.

    Factors like these can influence a sign’s delivery time:

    • Sign placement & mounting type (interior, exterior, mounted or free-standing)
    • Sign type (window graphics, A-frame sidewalk signs, floor graphics, safety & wayfinding signage, vehicle graphics, etc.)
